What made you go all in on your sport? In my younger years I was good at running and it was fun. I was competing against great people, and we became friends outside of the track. I made my choice to go all in on track and field in 2019 when I had to choose high school. I decided to go to Tertnes high school, which is the official high school supported by the Norwegian Olympic Committee. My club coach, Bjarte Eikanger, is head of middle distance runners at the school, and many of my teammates were already pupils there. So, I thought “yes, this is an opportunity I have to take” and today I am very happy with my choice.
What is your greatest moment as an athlete? My greatest moment as an athlete is hard to say. In 2019 I ran an 800m in Strandebarm and I broke the 2 minutes limit. It was a great day with teammates, and we all ran very well. This was a great moment. But I think maybe the biggest moment as an athlete is not a specific race, but my 2021 season. I found back the joy of running after a really hard 2020season!
